This is your chance to make a difference on Capitol Hill! Beginning at 8am, enjoy a light breakfast while the UMA’s political go-to, Michelle McOmber will bring everyone up to date on what medical legislation is coming before the legislators that day or soon after. Everyone will receive talking points on those important issues. Then, you have the opportunity to talk with your representative about important medical legislation issues and listen to what's happening on the floor overlooking the action. Around noon, there will be a luncheon provided with speakers from the Legislature and medical field. Please make arrangements now for work off and babysitters, because this is an opportunity that only comes around once a year. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Megan Warren. More details to follow in an email.

Spotlight: Megan Warren

I grew up in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. While attending BYU, I met my husband, Andrew. It turns out that we actually went to the same high school, and our parents live just about five minutes apart! After I graduated in music and business, we moved to Salt Lake for Andrew to start medical school. Now we are in our third year, and we have a darling little girl, Emma, who will be two in April. I love to play the violin, and I really enjoy teaching my eight students. Together, my husband and I enjoy attending the Utah Symphony, hiking, and, of course, we love to play games! I have recently developed a passion for running, and right now I’m training to run the Canyonlands Half Marathon in Moab this March. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with Emma, reading, baking, crocheting, and knitting.
